Each Style B: Threaded Ring Set consists of one male thread and one female thread. Threaded ring sets are used to make vessels, jars, urns, etc while having metal threads to connect the lid and base. The stepped male ring gives you metal to metal meet up instead of wood to wood. For Style B Rings the female ring has a knurl on the outside/major diameter when the male has the knurl on the inside/minor diameter. This makes it a mortise/tenon project. The knurl is to help for the best glue adhesion as possible.
