The Woodcut Tools range of Bowl and Spindle Gouges is designed by turners for turners. They are unique and have easily replaceable tips. This tool also always maintains constant leverage, as the shaft is not being ground away over time as one sharpens the tool. The tool gives a clean, polished finish in the hands of all turners.

The 55-degree (Fingernail) grind is uniquely designed to ensure that the gouge’s bevel is in contact with the bowl’s bottom. The swept-back grind allows access to tight places on spindle work.

• It features hard-wearing M2 high-speed steel and triple-tempered tips that hold their edge for longer, even when working with hard timbers.

The tips are machined from M2 HSS solid bar, Heat Treated to 62 Rockwell, and Triple Tempered for longer tip life. When required (approximately every 2-5 years), you can easily and affordably replace your tip only while keeping the rest of the tool. The tips are made with strong solid shafts, which eliminate flex and vibration, resulting in fewer tool marks and less sanding. All tools come handled or unhandled.
